In short, the ORWOhaus is the largest practice center in all of Europe, possibly even the world.

What is now the ORWOhaus was once a factory which produced ORWO photographic film.  Today 180 bands reside in the ORWOhaus.

From the outside, the ORWOhaus looks relatively unremarkable.  No one would guess that so much life is hidden inside.  In the evening hours, the ORWOhaus comes to life as the parking lot fills and loud music pours like a rainbow of colors from the opened windows.

In the middle of an industrial sector of Berlin, nestled between raiload tracks, and a 6 lane highway,  you will find us.  The massive multi-storied commercial and residential structures of Berlin-Marzahn are visible just a few kilometers away.

Each day the ORWO team cares for this musical paradise and makes sure that the bands inside have what they need in order to create.

In addition to offering our musicians the most cost-friendly rehearsal spaces in Berlin, the ORWOhaus regularly coordinates concerts and partys throughout Berlin, and is in the process of constructing its own live-music club on its ground floor.  The highlight of each year is the ORWO festival, which takes place both inside the ORWOhaus as well as outside on the ORWO grounds.
